Meet the adorable Mölkky mascots!
We arranged a Facebook competition to find suitable names for the mascots. The person behind the names is Joonas Soini – we loved his name suggestions.
And here they are:
My name stands for the unstoppable Finnish willpower and I am here to win! Wanna play with me?
“Sisu is a Finnish concept and cultural construct that is described through a combination of various English terms including stoic determination, tenacity of purpose, grit, bravery, resilience, and hardiness and is held by Finns themselves to express their national character.”
I’m always lucky, just like my name! Do you want to challenge it with a game or two?
Onni is a Finnish word for luck. If you want to wish good luck (for a game) you would say Onnea peliin in Finnish.
Fun is my middle name… or maybe just my first name! All the same, a good laugh always makes my day.
Hupi (also Finnish) means fun or having fun. Isn’t this fun would be melko hupia in Finnish (spoken language).
These mascot will be available at the World Championships 2018 in Pori.
